It is impossible to write out the story of any couple without it sounding ridiculously cheesy. But, nevertheless, I thought I would give those of you who don't Taylor and I a quick catch-up of who we are and how we got to where we are today. So, once upon a time...
Jordynn and Taylor met in the fall of 2005 through mutual friends and began dating that winter.

We dated for two years through the oh-so-exciting times of high school. These two years included countless nights of good times with friends, getting to know each other's families, long discussions about what the future could hold, a high school graduation (Taylor) and the always difficult transition into a long-distance relationship. Taylor had signed a scholarship to play college golf with Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma while I finished out my junior and senior years of high school. Needless to say, we were young (and dumb) and parted ways in November of 2008. Not that we knew it at the time, but this was the best decision we could have ever made for ourselves, our own personal walks with Christ and our relationship with each other.
In our time apart, I graduated high school, visited and applied to a never-ending list of colleges and then finally landed on going to school at Missouri Southern (go lions!). Little did I know, Taylor was at the same time debating on transferring to Missouri Southern for his last two years of college. Unplanned by us and purely by the hand of God, we both ended up at Southern in the fall of 2008. Taylor had been recruited to play golf for the lions and I had accepted a scholarship with the theatre department.

| Jordynn's mom thought she was hilarious by forcing this picture at Jordynn's graduation. Don't we just look thrilled? Needless to say, she saw our future much quicker than we did. |
Taylor and I began dating again on Christmas of 2008, exactly three years from when we first began dating. While we knew that we wanted to take things slow, and make sure we were doing what was best for ourselves as individuals, we knew that we didn't want to embark on this adventure for a second time if we weren't serious about one another.

| Vacation with Jordynn's family, July 2009. Truth be told, a tiny part of me thought Taylor might propose while we were at Disney. |
And serious, we were. Taylor and I loved being able to enjoy college together, we both grew immensely in our faith and in our relationship with each other. We took time just to enjoy life the way it was, searching out our passions and dreams for the future, and figuring out what that looked like for us together. Just a little over a year after we began dating again...
He put a ring on it!

| He did the most perfect job of picking out the perfect ring. |
After a little over a year of planning, parties and showers (I won't bore you hear with the hundreds of pictures from that engagement period, maybe another day), the day had come and on June 25, 2011 Taylor and I said "I do" and joined as man and wife, till death do us part. It was absolutely perfect in every way, everything I had dreamed of and then some.

| Our families after the ceremony. Taylor and I are so blessed to have such wonderful parents as role models for a biblical marriage. |
Holmes Photography were our photographers and they did the most perfect job. I could not imagine using anyone other than them. Seriously, do yourselves a favor and check them out

| Or this one. See what I mean, they're all so great! |
After the wedding we whisked away to Nassau, Bahamas for the most relaxing Honeymoon. We laid by the pool, laid on the beach, swam with dolphins, para-sailed shopped, ate, and just enjoyed our time together. It was perfect.
 |
| Preparing to go para-sailing, which was an absolute blast! |
After the wedding we settled back into life, Taylor working at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club, and me working and finishing out my senior year of college at Southern. Which leads us to today! After Taylor graduated in 2010 he began working at Twin Hills as the Assistant Club Professional while also working on completing the PGA of America schooling to become a Club Professional. Essentially, he gets paid to play golf. And it is wonderful. Taylor plays in tournaments, gives lessons, fits people for clubs and essentially runs the pro shop at the course. He loves it and that makes me happier than words can say.
 |
| Taylor became a staff player with PING in 2011 |
I graduated from Southern in May of 2012 and accepted a job as a Prevention Services Assistant at a local not-for-profit organization. And I LOVE it. :)
 |
| Jordynn's graduation. Can I just say, those are some pretty great shoes... |
 |
| So excited! |
So now, we are just enjoying life as it comes. Striving to live as Christ to the world around us. We love an adventure and our life is sure to be full of them! Enjoy the ride!
